WHO ARE THE SERVANTS OF MARY?
The Sisters Servants of Mary is a religious Congregation founded by Saint Maria Soledad Torres Acosta. As a young woman she received the call of God to form a group of consecrated women who would go out and continue Jesus mission of compassion and love among the poor and the sick, in their homes and free of charge.
Our Congregation now comprises over 1,600 sisters in 113 convents throughout the world. Our Ministry include home nursing during day or night, work in hospitals, out patients clinics, and homes for chronic, and convalescents patients. We do this apostolate following the Word of the Lord: “I was sick and you visited me”. Mt. 25, 36.
Here in the Philippines we are located in three houses: Lagonoy, Quezon City and Bacolod, where we serve the poor and the sick in the squatter areas and in the free clinic located in Tandang Sora.
We offer in the Charity Clinics, free medical check-up and medicines, without discrimination against race, color, religion.
