This festival – baluarte or arches are decorated with various agricultural
products like bananas, vegetables, buco, pineapple, and root crops.
These crop decors are pulled out by the people after the patron saint
has passed. The three most beautifully decorated baluartes are given
prizes. The Feast of San Isidro Labrador is also celebrated not with
pahiyas but with araňas and baluartes festooned with fruits, vegetables
and other farm produce which are up for grabbing by the people
immediately after the image of the saint passed under the balua rtes.
