Alana Motors Corporation (AMC) with its assembly plant at South Diversion Road, Brgy. Domoit, Lucena Cty, Quezon Province is gearing up to go a long way from its traditional and humble beginnings in this part of the archipelago.

A household, expert and reliable name in jeep manufacturing of various styles and designs, the old man Teodoro Alana started it all. In the 50’s the older Alana had his calesa shop and later shifted to abandoned military vehicles popularly known as Willy’s Jeeps. Alfredo, the second generation Alana continued, expanded and innovated on uniquely hand and machine crafted vehicle designs to give birth to what is now the ALANA II MOTORS, assembler of All Purpose Utility Vehicles (APV’s), Cruisers and Wrangler Type Jeeps. These models have been branded as early as 1995 as Alana Hammer Performers.

The turn of the millennium saw the rise, prominence and visibility of the Sports Utility Vehicles (SUV’s) and the off-roaders hitting the roads of the metropolis. The natural family inclination, unstoppable vision and sheer desire to make a “Vehicle With A Difference” prompted the third generation Alana men: Jasper, Jian and Julius to follow through their father’s and grandfather’s tradition. The grand and imposing looks of the Gulf War-tested Hummer inspired the design and creation the AMC Hammer.

In 2001, AMC was formally incorporated. Shortly thereafter, AMC then launched its first two (2) models: AMC Hammer Pick-up and AMC Hammer Wagon at the 11th Motorshow International (Manila) World Trade Center. These two models caught not only the fancy of the local car enthusiasts and exhibitors alike, but also the scrutinizing and meticulous attention of foreign visitors as well. The AMC Hammer has found its way beyond streets of Manila into the Mindanao region, and even as far as Australia.
