We can support a maximum of about 17 children in the home, depending on the special needs. We have many children, though not all, with special needs or developmental challenges. Children accepted are typically under age 3-5. We are founded on Christian principals and desire to raise the children in our care in as-like a safe, loving and supportive home environment as possible, until these children are placed back with their families or with an adoptive family. Our children come from a wide range of backgrounds, some abandoned, some removed temporarily or permanently from unsafe family situations, and others willingly given over by parents who know they cannot provide a better homelife for their child, which could be due to a variety of reasons.

Poverty, alcoholism, sexual abuse and lack of education are some of the problems faced in Peru.

In the book of James, pure and faultless relgion is described as loving orphans and widows. With love, discipline, and intervention, we know we are making a difference in these little lives.

You can support The Josephine House by prayer, volunteering, donations, or sponsoring a child.
