ITEMS TO BRING:

--Dress in light and comfortably for dancing, moving, and laying down.

--An eye cover or a small cloth that you can tie over your eyes. This is to darken your vision with your eyes closed so you can journey deeper into your experience.

--Water. Plastic or metal water bottle. No glass please.

--Toilet paper or tissue paper, in case you need to blow your nose.

--A small pillow and cushioning (blanket, several yoga mats, towels, etc.) to make yourself comfortable while lying down. You will be making a small bed during the breathwork so bring appropriate items for that.

--A snack in case you get hungry.

CEREMONY PREPARATION:

--No smoking or eating marijuana/cannabis the day of ceremony. Preferably refrain from cannabis at least a week before breathwork. If you have a health condition, please private message me.

--No chocolate/cacao/cocoa the day of ceremony and preferably at least 3 days before.

--An intention for the ceremony.

CEREMONY STRUCTURE:

The ceremony is a safe space for deep transformation. The actual transformational breathwork ceremony with music is 2 hours and 15 minutes total. But the whole session will take about 4 hours of your time.

-1hr for orientation on the breathing practice and psychospiritual tools for getting the most out of your experience

-Smudging for cleansing and setting sacred space

-Setting intentions

-Sacramentally ingesting cacao beans and drinking coca tea. Cacao and coca are bronchodilators and will help increase the amount of oxygen you can inhale as well as open your body energetically.

--Lion´s Roar asana. This is to open up the throat and open up your channels for release.

-Music and Transformational Breath starts with dancing for about 10 minutes.

-Lying down with blindfold and focusing on
Transformational Breath for approximately1 hour and 30 min.

-- I will perform a feather ¨limpia¨or aura cleansing on each individual and the space during the breathwork. This is to aid in the releasing process and clear energy in the space.

--Last 30 min you return to your normal breath and relax and integrate your experience, while listening to more relaxing music.

--Optional rapé for additional clearing and grounding.

--Brief, optional sharing

--Closing

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Transformational Breathwork is a powerful cathartic process where you use the power of your own breath for deep transformation and healing. Transformational Breathwork can be just as transformative and intense as strong plant medicine ceremonies such as Ayahuasca, Teonanacatl (psylocibin mushrooms) or Huachuma (San Pedro). Actually back in the 1960s psychologist Stanislav Grof was using LSD for psychotherapeutic work. LSD became illegal and he developed Holotropic Breathwork to help people enter into the same altered state for mystical insights and healing (Holotropic Breathwork and Transformational Breathwork use the same circular breathing technique and are very similar practices).
Deep catharsis and emotional release will likely occur. Crying, shouting, shaking, processing intense emotions, body tingling and other physical and pyschospiritual process can happen. These are all normal and in fact very good for the healing and transformational process. Extreme states of joy and ecstasy are also common. :-)

Breathwork greatly oxygenates the body and runs a lot of prana (life force energy) through the bodymind. Breathwork is very vitalizing and healthy for the body.

Here is a brief list of the benefits of Transformational Breathwork (from http://www.grof-holotropic-breathwork.net/page/hb-faqs#faq4) (Transformational Breathwork and Holotropic Breathwork use the same circular breathing technique):
