Programa Punta San Juan 3.81

El Programa Punta San Juan (PPSJ) es un centro de investigación de campo basado en la Reserva Nacional Punta San Juan (PSJ). Este forma parte de la Reserva Nacional Islas, Islotes y Puntas Guaneras (RNSIIPG), gestionado por el Servicio de Áreas Naturales Protegidas del Perú (SERNANP). PSJ es una península de 54 hectáreas ubicada en la costa sur del Perú, en la ciudad de Marcona, en la provincia de Ica. Durante más de 25 años, el PPSJ se ha dedicado a la investigación de poblaciones silvestres y de organismos marinos para comprender mejor cómo interactúan con su entorno y cómo la actividad humana afecta sus poblaciones.

The Punta San Juan Program (PSJP) is a field-based research program located at a 54-hectare guano reserve on the southern coast of Peru, near the town of Marcona, Ica. Today PSJ is part of an MPA network under the management of SERNANP (Protected Areas). For over 25 years the PSJP has studied the wildlife and marine organisms of the area to better understand how these interact with the environment and to get a better sense of how human activities affect their populations.
