The 80- room Gran Hotel, is located on a 3 storey old house, built in 1890, partly refurbished. Certified as an historic building, it is a good example of the republican architecture, with a touch of the “ Belle Epoque”. It is located in the historical section of downtown Lima. Furniture is mostly antiques, from France and Belgian origin and in restoration process. Beds, matresses and linen are new. We offer simple, down to earth accomodations, with cable Tv in the rooms, high speed Wi-Fi, free parking ( reservation needed), 24 hour front desk service. Hot water is by electric heaters, that work on a rotary basis but if necesary, can be started on demand. We don’t have a restaurant but there is one next door and many others nearby. We offer airport pick up service at $ 20.00 for up to 3 people and luggage. At the airport, comission-hungry taxi drivers may try to steer you to another place, to collect a comission. Don’t listen to them and insist on the Gran Hotel or take another car.A formal, civil defense approved Bussiness, the hotel started in 1947. We are not closed, or full or burned down.Nor is the place more dangerous than any other big city in the world.

El Gran Hotel, con 80 habitaciones, se ubica en el cento histórico de Lima, en una casona antigua de 3 pisos , parcialmente remodelada, construida en 1890 y reconocida como monumento histórico por ser un buen ejemplo de la arquitectura republicana con un toque de la “ Belle Epoque”. Ofrecemos un alojamiento básico, con cable TV en la habitación, Wi Fil de alta velocidad, estacionamiento gratuito ( con reserva previa).Los muebles son en su mayoría, antiguedades de origen francés y belga. Camas, colchones y ropa de cama son nuevos. No ofrecemos servicios de comedor pero hay un restaurant al lado y otros cercanos. Ofrecemos servicios de taxi del aeropuerto a $ 20.00 dólares por hasta 3 personas y equipaje. En el aeropuerto, los taxistas independientes, ansiosos de cobrar comisiones, pueden tratar de convencerlo para llevarlo a otro sitio y cobrar. No les crea e insista en que lo lleven al Gran Hotel, o tome otro taxi. El Hotel es un negocio serio, aprobado por Defensa Civil y que inició sus actividades en 1947. No hemos cerrado, ni estamos llenos ni nos hemos incendiado. Tampoco es esta una zona mas peligrosa que cualquier otra ciudad grande en el mundo.
