CONAPAC is a conservation non-profit organization based in Iquitos, Peru, serving 50+ communities in the Loreto region. Our partnered communities all agree to conservation of their forests. In exchange, we assis them by improving school education quality, providing access to clean drinking water, developing their income through sustainable, organic agriculture, providing professional leadership workshops to town leaders, educating on tropical environmental sciences, and maintaining a library on the Amazon river that provides a full range of daily after-school enrichment programs.

We have 6 full-time staff, and we have been in operation since 1990. Brian Landever is currently the director, and Pamela Bucur, owner of Explorama Lodges, is the founder and president.

Our donors and partners include the Detroit Zoo, International Expeditions, Adopt-A-Village, Amazon Amigos, JBQ, International Fund for Economic Development (IFED), Exlporama Lodges, Cornell University Lab of Ornithology, Amazon Rainforest Workshops, EcoTeach, SAGA Charitable Trust, and hundreds of private donors. Our activities focus on communities along the Amazon and Napo Rivers.

If you are interested in volunteering with us, consider joining our annual service projects in March and April. If you are interested in supporting us with donations, please visit our website.
