We did start off with the dream to create a place, where travelers from all over the world would feel welcome. Over years of backpacking around the globe, we visited quite a few hostels. The idea of having one of our own grew and grew. Eventually, in Lima, the capital of Peru, opportunity and will finally collided and we set up Rivendell hostel.

We wanted to take the best of every hostel we’d been to: one that’s cozy, centralized, comfortable and most importantly, fun! A place with services of the highest level, but that does not overcharge. Basically, we just capture that special atmosphere everybody looks for in a hostel. After many years of traveling all over the world we understood exactly the needs of backpackers and we implemented all in Rivendell. In our hostel you will get free entrance to the best clubs and parties over Lima.

We capture all the great features you would expect from Hostel in the heart of popular Miraflores. Situated on Main Street, fully lighten and safe at night. Only 6 blocks from the buzz of Park Kennedy, 1 block from plaza vea (one of the largest commercial supermarkets), 2 blocks from the Inca Indian markets, 2 blocks from the most beautiful pyramid in lima “Huaca Pucllana” & 6 Blocks from the Heart of San Isidro (Rich District of lima) & Gutierrez Circle (Commercial zone of San Isidro) . We are just 15 Minutes walk from the coast and beautiful cliff top parks where you can test your skills at paragliding, surfing or simply relax in the sun and enjoy the views. But at the same time Rivendell is the perfect place to relax, eat and drink, watch movies & play video games during the days and nights 24/7.

All the rooms in our new hostel have big modern ensuite bathrooms (in 70% of our rooms). We have also created indoor and outdoor common spaces, decorated modern with a scent of medieval “lord of the ring" design, accommodate all your needs, giving you the option to relax or party your time away with us in complete comfort. A great place to socialize with fellow backpackers and staff and enjoy a cold beer and a good meal after a long journey.
