When we started this business our first interest was to find the best foods that we could. We simply weren't convinced that the stuff available at most retailers represented the best foods, or the best value available. We didn't want to feed foods that contained corn, wheat, soy or by-products - i.e. economical ingredients - and we certainly didn't want to pay premium prices for the priveledge of doing so. So we found some of the best petfoods available from around the world and we decided to import them.

We tried at first to sell our products through established retail outlets, but they weren't really interested. They told us things like "I like your products but" ......."company x just spent $10,000 on new signage for my clinic' or "company x advertisies it's products on television. I don't have to sell it as it just walks off the shelves". Business reasoning. We thought they should have been interested in things like ingredients, quality, health, value and their clients instead.

It's the way of the world today. Retail has become dominated by big franchise type stores selling products made by big businesses with big marketing budgets. However people like us don't like that situation. Thank goodness for the Internet because now we can get the niche products that we want. Courier companies can deliver the products we want right to our door. So we thought that if the established retailers wouldn't let our great products be available to you through their stores then we'd make them available to you through ours. So here we are.
