Traffic Management is one of the current growth industries in New Zealand, and there are thousands of people working in this sector across the country. It is hard to travel anywhere without seeing cones, signs, trucks and of course “Traffic Controllers” working hard to improve and maintain our roads.
Traffic Management staff are extremely important when it comes to protecting motorists and pedestrians from potential danger as this work takes place, and we rely on these staff to do a good job in order to maintain public safety.

Using our extensive knowledge of the industry we have developed a new “Graduated Card System” where Traffic Managers can have their skill levels and experience recognised, and be rewarded with a colour-coded photo ID that verifies this.

We believe that this new system will enable Employers in this industry to better determine the skill levels of their existing traffic management staff, or people that they may be considering for employment.

For Traffic Management Staff: This is a way to showcase the actual skills and experience that you have demonstrated during your time in the industry. It is also a way of increasing your value and marketability.

For Traffic Management Companies: This is a method of acknowledging, recognising and rewarding the efforts of your staff. It is a way to encourage your staff to expand their skill base, maintain and increase productivity and building morale. It also makes a great motivational tool.

For the Traffic Management Industry: This is a method of measuring the proven skill levels and experience of those that are actively working in the industry. We hope to encourage more people to work in this industry and also see staff striving to continuously develop their skills. A “skilled” workforce is a “strong” workforce!
