Details

Tiny Tumblers provides a fun environment for kids to experience and explore movement, develop motor skills and improve strength, balance and body control. The programme aims to enhance co-ordination, build confidence, develop social skills and improve cognition. We incorporate a playful introduction to colours, shapes, letters and number recognition and provide plenty of opportunities for imaginative and explorative play.

Our programmes include activities involving fundamental movement patterns which are the foundation movements to the more specialised, complex skills used in play, games, sports, dance, gymnastics and physical recreation. They include:

Body Management Skills:
Rolling, Stopping, Landing, Balancing, Twisting, Turning, Swinging, Stretching, Springing, Climbing, Bending.

Locomotor Skills:
Crawling, Walking, Running, Marching, Galloping, Skipping, Hopping, Dodging

Object Control Skills:
Throwing, Catching, Striking, Bouncing, Dribbling, Kicking.

Improved competence in these areas can improve self-esteem and self-confidence.

Each session is filled with music, movement, learning and fun and we focus on providing a stimulating experience for parent and child every week. Our classes are based on a different theme each fortnight but part of each class is spent reviewing previously learnt skills.

Kids
This class is aimed at children who are ready to work independently of their parent/caregiver. We focus on enhancing their cognitive abilities, developing their sense of autonomy, and encouraging them to challenge themselves. These classes help to prepare children for school by working on turn taking, co-operation, sharing, and following instructions.
