The Suburban Lifestyler lives in the city but leads a country lifestyle. There are chooks in the garden, fresh eggs in the coop, homegrown vegetables and fruit on the table, and fresh herbs in home cooked food. The children learn self sufficiency, the love of animals, daily routines and responsibilities, and the joys of outdoor effort and the wonders of nature. Mum and Dad (and Gran and Grandad) get more from the budget, value from the land, time with the kids, and the fun and rewards of effort as a family on the land. There can be home brew in cupboard, your own wine under the house, and home grown vegies in the freezer for winter. You know how to bake your own bread and preserve your own fruit. Yes! you can do it all on a suburban section and legally too.
