The Shipshop Club 1.45

You will need to ensure that the items you purchase are not food or perishable items, dangerous or prohibited items, or have a value over NZD$2,000 in the USA, NZD$1,399 in the UK or NZD$899 in China. The most common examples of items that cannot be sent include perfume, aftershave, items containing Lithium-ion batteries, ink cartridges and aerosols.

Batteries

Stand alone batteries cannot be sent via The Shipshop Club.
Some electronic items containing lithium-ion batteries can be sent through The Shipshop Club USA
A lithium-ion battery must not exceed 20 Wh/cell, or 100 Wh per battery/pack.
Lithium-ion batteries cannot be sent from the UK or China via The Shipshop Club.

Cannot Ship

Standalone lithium metal and lithium-ion batteries.
Electronic devices and consumer electronics without manufacturer’s packaging. These packages mainly come from ebay or individual sellers who sell used products where the inner packaging of the cells or batteries do not comply with the packaging standards for airfreight.
Any spare batteries found in the same package.
All battery-powered vehicles.
Some examples of these lithium battery-powered vehicles are: airwheel, solo wheel, hover board, mini-segway, balance wheel.

Allowed to ship

Brand new consumer-electronics in manufacturer’s packaging (except power tools and heavy duty equipment)
This is because the packaging for brand new consumer-electronics will comply with the packaging requirements.
Pre-installed Battery in an electronic device and packed in manufacturer's packaging.
Note – Some items will still be required to have a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) to allow for a review of whether the item is safe to ship via The Shipshop Club.

Magnetic Items

Any items being exported from China with any form of magnetism (eg. motors, magnets etc…) may require the local exit port to provide a third-party magnetic inspection report. Please note that additional charges may apply

If the testing result shows the magnetism exceeds standard acceptable levels, the magnetic field may need to be neutralised (degaussing costs will be charged additionally).
