Te Mata School 3.48

Te Mata School is a decile 10 Contributing School with a student roll which begins each year with around 520 students and ends the year with approximately 610 students. There is a basic staff entitlement of 24 teachers.

There are 24 classrooms, together with an assembly hall, music suite, library, resource room, audio visual room, along with the administration area, miscellaneous sheds and all weather hockey turf.

The school is fully fenced. Gates are closed during school hours but do have sensors for traffic coming into the school carpark during this time.

With its planned planting, trees and gardens Te Mata School sits in very attractive surroundings.

Havelock North is a popular residential area with new housing developments continuing in areas close to the school. The school closely monitors roll trends and works with it's neighbouring schools and the Ministry over the enrolment of students. The school continues to be a very popular one and an Enrolment Scheme is in place to manage student numbers.
