Our Motto is “Bringing the Country to the City” by way of an Annual Agricultural and Pastoral Show. Tauranga City has changed dramatically in the last 30 years and from being a ‘retired farmers’ community. It is now a truly cosmopolitan city surrounded by innovative and productive small holdings and life style blocks with people from all walks of life and nationalities either moving here to live and work or visiting in their holidays, many of whom may be unaware of New Zealand’s and Tauranga’s rural heritage.

Our endeavour is to perpetuate and encourage interest and participation in rural activities because, despite the changing demographic of the Tauranga urban area, rural activities are still very much the backbone of the greater Bay of Plenty rural region.
