Our courses don't talk in hypotheticals, only real data.

Being a douche bag is a very destructive behaviour that undermines leadership potential.

"Am I that douche bag in the office?" is a strategic question leaders should ask themselves, and unfortunately many don't.

Conversely, do you have a highly skilled staff member who is worth keeping, but has unproductive and unsuitable workplace behaviours?

Self Awareness Leadership Development Activities (SALDA's) weave adventure and contemporary leadership assessments together in order to create meaningful interactions so individuals can receive professional feedback to truly understand their reputation is world class, and is our niche market. Our flagship rafting courses are a unique point of difference and will make a real change in behaviours within your organisation.

Fact - Changing individuals behaviours is better than taking a risk in hiring someone new.

Research states that employees leave their bosses rather than their jobs. More than 50% of leaders fail in their leadership of others. By becoming aware of your behaviors as a leader and as an employee you are less likely to impact negatively on your work colleagues and direct reports. Ultimately, you create a more productive, profitable and enjoyable workplace.

Strategic Self Awareness courses have been designed deliberately to create memorable experiences that make a lasting impact on the individual. Our flagship courses and unique point of difference is that we weave adventure and contemporary leadership assessments together in order to create memorable interactions between participants. This creates the opportunity for leaders to receive professional feedback so they can start to truly understand their reputational impacts.

Here are the key components of our unique courses that help to create a lasting impact -

i.Risks - which expose how participants make decisions / interact / conduct tasks and deal with stress in real time

ii.Complex Environments - which are unfamiliar and challenging and pose real consequences for decisions made, and

iii.Maximise Interactions - through which participants receive information on how they relate to others whilst completing challenging and everyday tasks.

This combination of ingredients is a unique point of difference and will help create self aware leaders in your organisations. Leaders will truly understand from the course how their leadership impacts on the organisation.

Our courses can include a mix of these tools -

- Benchmark 360 feedback from your workplace

- Hogan Personality Assessments

- Resilience tools

- Self-and-peer feedback

- Workplace strategies to suit a team’s development

Activities (rafting, caving, high ropes/tree canopy tours etc.) to meet the development goals desired.

The mix of these ingredients in an intimate environment away from the workplace has been proven through research to help create a greater level of self awareness and a work profit. The classroom sessions have a superb curriculum that is focused on people sharing stories about themselves; the soul of the course. The courses that utilise risk activities are an instrumental key to success, and are the reason people will remember the course and live out their strategies.

Strategic Self Awareness can also design and deliver courses that meet the needs of the organisation or specific individuals. We can mix and match from the suite of tools to suit individuals or a team’s development. This can occur through one-on-one coaching or group debriefs with leadership teams. The courses and coaching can happen dislocated from the work premise or on site to meet the demands of the workplace.

The workplace strategies designed during the course have proven to shape and strengthen positive leadership behaviour over 12 months. If people are deliberate about their approach and if the organisation’s leadership supports development, then this can create lasting behavioural change within the individual and benefit the whole organisation.

Research states that to achieve lasting behavioural development an individual or group requires to spend a dedicated 3 - 5 days with a deliberate approach. However, sometimes this is not possible with work demands, so we can modify the course to meet work commitments by designing 2 - 3 day course that has an educational approach that has three to six month reviews.
