About Me

Step Music founder Albert Lee has played an active part in the field of music for the past 10 years. He has won many nationally recognized awards and has been taught by and performed among the top musicians and educators in New Zealand. To top it off, he was selected as 1 of 2 drummers in the highly acclaimed NZ Youth Jazz Orchestra, going onto complete his Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance) at the New Zealand School of Music.

Since then, he has taught over 200 students and students and parents alike have been very impressed with his professionalism, passion for teaching, and the progress being made. His positive and encouraging teaching style has been a huge success and lines up with Step Music's value of nurturing 'Positive musical experiences, one step at a time'
