Rotorua By Segway 3.1

‘Rotorua by Segway’ offers small, personal, fully guided tours to some of the most iconic highlights within the Rotorua city area. The tours offer an exciting and unique way to experience the world-famous geothermal activity as well as many other stunning sites. Bubbling mud pools, steaming lakes, beautiful gardens, and historic sites are just a few of the attractions visited on the tour.

Rotorua by Segway is owned and operated by Richard Sewell, a local restaurant owner who got the idea for the tour business as a result of experiencing Segway tours during a trip in Europe. The tours start and finish at Urbano Bistro which compliments both businesses as food and beverages are conveniently available.

The tours are small and personal with five Segways available for use. Each participant receives an introduction and training prior to the start of the tour. Helmets and high viz vests are also provided to ensure the safety of each person. Each machine has a storage bag on front for customer use. The tour guide ensures everyone is confident on the machines and aware of potential hazards before commencing the tour.

Segway Tours have become a very popular tourist attraction world-wide and are safe and fun for a wide range of age groups.

Rotorua by Segway is a great addition to the many tourist attractions and activities that the city has to offer. The tour is 2.5 hours and is fun and educational for tourists and locals alike.

We run two tours per day, at 10am & 1.30 pm - 7 days per week - closed public holidays.

Segway's are easy to use, fun to ride and and will cover more ground than you can on foot. We are passionate about Rotorua and what it has to offer and are dedicated to ensuring that every traveller has an enjoyable experience.

PLEASE NOTE: Suitable enclosed shoes like running shoes are required to operate one of our Segways. NO JANDALS PLEASE.
