Roblon Poultry started as a small hobby of 5 hens and a rooster to attain some free range, home grown eggs. However as further investigation discovered more and more amazingly marked chook breeds; temptation grew and some of these breeds started to also appear.

Nowadays Roblon has managed to refocus on one breed in particular and a couple of hobby breeds, but the intention has always remained the same; to breed spotty cool looking chooks.

Roblon Poultry's main breed is the large Wyandotte. A range of the different varieties are now kept and bred. From the original silver laced group purchased; you will now also find gold laced, blue laced, buff laced, pure white as well as a couple of experimental colourations.

The much smaller Pekin bantams are also found at Roblon Poultry. Both the Mottled and Spangled varieties are kept. Also as a bit of a hobby and for their fantastic egg laying ability; Anconas and silver spangled Hamburgs are kept.

Last but certainly not least are the unique looking ducks. Ducks were introduced soon after the first flock of chooks after discovering a magpie drake for sale. The Magpie ducks are the main breed of duck at Roblon. However there are also a pair of buff Orpingtons in the mix for their splendid egg laying capabilities, good looks and social characteristics.

Roblon is still in the breeding up and ___ stages. In conjunction with a busy farming lifestyle; showing of poultry has not been undertaken.
