Welcome to River Retreat Photography. Allan Pritchard started River Retreat Photography in December 2014 after making a decision to try something new. Allan has been an avid photographer for 20 years, concentrating on wildlife and landscape photography as a hobby. Allan was the founding director of AP design in 2005 and had a dream of a small Architectural practice of 10-12 people at its peak. The Christchurch earthquakes of 2010 and 2011 gave him the opportunity to expand the business to over 20 staff and now 3 new directors are taking it to the next level. The success in the Architectural industry has allowed Allan to pursue what was once only a dream, to become a professional photographer.+

We specialize in event photography, particularly sporting events such as motorsport, mountain biking, multi-sport events, you will find our event albums at www.actionimages.co.nz for particular events. We will also take on assignment work for corporate events and trade shows as well as product photography (sorry no weddings). We can also produce calendars for clients or clubs wanting to fund raise.

Allan lives in Coalgate, mid Canterbury, New Zealand with his partner Margie Sharkey. They live on a 10 Acre life style block with a mixture of cattle, sheep, Ben the horse, Betsy the cow and currently 2 cats Freddy and Sammy. Allan and Margie also have a self contained accommodation unit known as The Barn which they run as a self catered Bed and Breakfast. see www.riverretreat.kiwi.nz
