Possum Fur Pain Relief Discovery 1.98

I am a very practical person, and found that when placing the tips of my finger on possum fur, it heated up to a temperature slightly above blood heat level, and stayed there, irrespective of outside conditions being hot or cold, wet or dry. Subsequent research showed that possum fur and polar bear fur were similar, both having hollow fibre, therefore retaining heat.

I suffer from a sore back, the result of years of hard work in the bush, so I made a possum fur seat cover, initially as it felt comfortable to lean against.

It really was a pleasant surprise to learn that it eased my back pain considerably.

I trialed it over all conditions for two years, then felt comfortable in contacting Mahe Drysdale who I knew was suffering chronic backpain, asking him to trial a belt through his rigorous training programme. He went on to win two world single skulls titles together with Olympic Gold in London and gives it full credit for allowing him to extend his rowing life.

Up until now possum fur has been used in clothing and in cuffs, collars, and the odd fur coat...where it has always been considered a poor relation of the solid furs of mink, beaver and ermine. However through trial and error I learned that possum has been used the wrong way around, that its real quality is against the skin where its hollow fibre continually breathes in fresh air and expels used air, leaving a very healthy, constant temperature slightly above blood level. It has been a remarkable discovery.
