"The Barrel Run" is an unforgettable kayak journey on the beautiful Pelorus River through the exact same locations, where the famous barrel scene of "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" was filmed.

We run a family business aimed at family fun on the river. Our exciting trips will take you through easy rapids in safe inflatable tandem canoes, while surrounded by stunning scenery, rich history and wild life to discover.

No prior experience is necessary! The tandem canoes are incredibly stable. Safety equipment and dry jackets supplied.
