Nature Kindergarten 3.02

Nature Kindergarten is a New Zealand based Forest School programme that offers holistic learning opportunities for children from 3 to 6 years of age.

We specialise in integrating emotional intelligence with intellectual intelligence and have developed a unique New Zealand programme that instills attitudes for success that are vital for high achievement in learning at school and life in the 21st century.

Nature Kindergarten promotes child-led outdoor play that stimulates all senses at the same time which generates curiosity and absorption. Children that attend Nature Kindergarten develop basic life skills as well as knowledge in a wide range of curricula such as literacy, numeracy, art, technology, science, music and physical education at an accelerated level.

The programme has been successfully run for 18 years - we operate with a high adult/child ratio of 1 teacher to 5 children - safety is our first priority. Children work in groups where discussion, negotiation, listening and exploration are a feature.
