The first account of Nigel wielding a spanner was at the age of 4, when he borrowed from his father’s tool box to remove the training wheels from his own bicycle. He’s been modifying and repairing machinery of all descriptions ever since.

Nigel is a qualified automotive mechanic with Advanced Trade (“A-Grade”) Certification. He completed his apprenticeship at the Mitsubishi dealership in Alexandra, Central Otago during the time of the Clyde hydroelectric dam construction and learned to repair anything from motorbikes to jet-boats, trucks to tractors and all manner of cars from old to new.

After leaving Alexandra for a bit of world travel, he returned to New Zealand and took up a job with Newmarket Nissan in Auckland. He held his last mechanic job as a mobile mechanic with Hometune, also in Auckland.

Nigel is currently operating his mobile mechanic service as a part-time business with low operating costs so that he can provide you with the dual benefit of convenience and low prices. He prides himself on honesty and integrity and quality workmanship you can depend on.

Nigel will bring the tools to you for regular oil changes and services, brake and WOF repairs, timing belt (cambelt) replacement and breakdowns on your vehicle. And if you like, he can even take care of any minor home maintenance repairs while he’s there.
