Monsta Truck Tattoo founded in 1995 by John Wayne Roberts, is one of Hawke’s Bays oldest and most established tattoo studio.

MTT is primarily a custom tattoo shop, with no job too big or too small. Our team of artists is adept in most forms of tattoo art, from small script and old school Americana style tattooing to Ta Moko/kirituhi and large-scale Japanese works.

We now have on board our fully qualified Body Piercer Brodie Gore who has brought back the piercing game to Napier. We are currently the only studio in Napier who offers this service.

Next on board we have Racheal Wharehinga who is our amazing cosmetic tattooist. Racheal is killing it in this industry and specialises in eyebrows, eyeliner and lips!

MTT is registered with the Napier City Council under the Tattooing and Body Piercing bylaw. And in such is inspected regularly. All tattooing equipment is both disposable, and single use, or fully autoclavable (using a class B vacuum sterilizing autoclave) ensuring every client has a clean and hygienic tattoo experience.
