Martha's Pantry, affectionately known as Martha's, was opened in 2007 by sisters Anita and Ondine McLeod. Several years later Martha's Pantry famous High Tea is considered a Wellington institution, often cited as one of the top spots in Wellington hospitality due to attention to detail, style, & service. Martha's Pantry is a must to cross off your bucket list when visiting the Capital, run by a charming team of hospitality professionals. The vintage tea and coffee house resides in a beautifully restored heritage building at the top of Cuba Street. This building was bought by Martha and John Moran in 1920, where they ran a drapery business and lived upstairs. Martha was famously hospitable and a superb cook. The building was marked for demolition in the 60s to make way for heavy traffic bypass which now cuts across Cuba Street. Martha's Pantry is the perfect location to enjoy morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea, a warm and welcoming refuge just a few metres from Cuba Street. Martha's Pantry is a great venue for Birthdays, Baby Showers, Bridal Showers and Engagements. Corporate or Private Catering is available, plus Custom Made Cakes and Treats.
