Mangere East Rugby League Football & Sports Club 4.4

The Mangere East Rugby League Football Club was formed in 1963. In 1971 the club errected a 6000sq ft club house which was built at Walter Massey Park, the clubs home ground since its foundation. The club adopted the nickname “The Hawks” in 1973, after forming a sister club partnership with the Ryde-Eastwood Hawks in Sydney. We were one of the first clubs in Auckland to adopt a nickname.

Our club strives to provide a sustainable and successful base for young people and the wider Mangere community, through success in Rugby League, Netball & recently Rippa Rugby. Having recently celebrated our 50 year jubillee the club is flourishing with more & more talented young men and women.
