Welcome to my online portfolio.
My name is Leroy Roberts , I'm 28 years old and i'm a contemporary Polynesian / Maori artist.
My dad is from Falealili & Falelima in Samoa and my mum is from Nuhaka (Ngati Kahungunu / Ngati Porou ) on the east coast.


I have always been involved in art in some form or another. I have grown to specialize in Maori Taamoko & Polynesian Tatau (Machine only) although i may be in the early stages of living my dream , I have experienced many things that have shaped and strengthened my testimony of how I think things should be done.

I draw inspiration from many sources , from people & experiences to nature & Kai... Tradition & history is another pillar of strength which helps my perspective when exploring the arts and exercising creativity.

A couple of my favourite artists are Danz McGrath (Moko Kauri) , Fred Frost & Steve Ma Ching (Western Tattoo).

I have 4 brothers, 1 sister and we grew up in South Auckland .

I love long walks on the beach and .... haha nah..

I am extremely grateful for the trust my clients place in my ability as an artist to create a piece that translates their story from an idea through to a tangible piece that's with them forever.
