Le Moana Bach 2.12

'Le Moana' (meaning 'the ocean' and on the corner of Moana/Rupini Sts) is perfectly located in the heart of Otaki Beach and only 50 metres from the surf club and swimming area. This beach house is fully renovated, tastefully decorated (including original artwork), and equipped with most things you and your family need for a comfortable, relaxing stay.

Le Moana gets all day sun, is on the flat with ample lawn for kids to play, and sheltered from sea winds/spray. The bach is fully insulated with plush carpets and is very warm/cosy in winter, especially with the log fire burner going (wood is provided along with two electric oil column heaters). In summer, it is cool with the windows open (electric fan is provided). The conservatory provides extra living and is a lovely place to sit and relax at any time of day or year.

There are two bedrooms - the master bedroom with a queen bed, and the second bedroom with two singles (one king single). Also, a single bed and a foam fold-out sofa bed (sleeping two more people) are in the area off the lounge.

There is free WIFI (very important!), an Infinity gas hot water system with strong shower pressure, a new, fully equipped kitchen and new appliances including gas hobs with electric oven, and dishwasher. Feel free to use things in the kitchen like condiments, spices, tea, coffee, sugar etc. and the bathroom toiletries (mini soaps, shampoos, conditioners, lotions etc).

Also available are a washing machine and dryer, large portable gas BBQ, outdoor furniture, gazebo, two kayaks (with life jackets and trolley), boogie boards etc. A bonus is the lockable garage for your vehicle.

Linen is included, and renters are expected to clean up and leave the bach as they found it.

Otaki Beach is the best beach along the Kapiti coast, with uninterrupted, flat coastline and safe swimming. The sunsets are amazing! It's only one hour from Wellington (without traffic issues) and is a quiet, relaxed place all year round.There's lots to do - swimming at the beach, rivers or pools, kayaking, collecting pipi, shopping at Otaki outlet stores (or Levin, Waikanae), horse riding, tramping (Otaki Gorge and Tararua Ranges), golfing, Sunday markets, Southwards Car museum, etc. Otaki has two supermarkets - Countdown at the Otaki township and New World on SH 1. There is a large variety of great food places.
