Jetsom Artspace is a contemporary art gallery run by Kerikeri artist Sheree Edwards to support and promote Northland and New Zealand art. With a focus on original, unique, locally produced artworks, the gallery is welcoming, accessible and affordable. Sheree curates regular exhibitions to showcase a diverse range of artworks including, painting, photography, printmaking, ceramics, glass works, poetry, performance art, film, bespoke jewellery and furnishings. Sheree’s own work includes painting, printmaking, photography, bespoke textiles, wallpaper and restored vintage furniture with a modern New Zealand influence. “All my furnishing works have an eco-ethical basis. My textile designs are printed with natural dyes onto organic hemp / cotton fabric which gives it a vintage quality. I also create designs for environmentally friendly wallpaper.”
