Hyslop Rural Transport Ltd situated at Outram, Otago is run by cousins Wayne & Derek Hyslop, who have owned the company for the past 22 years. The company was started by their late Grandfather and Derek’s father the late Jack in 1946, 70 years ago, then Wayne’s father the late Les and brothers Fred & Eric Hyslop joined the company 2 years later, which was then named C.H Hyslop & Sons. since 2019 it is now being run by Derek, his daughter Nadine, and her partner John Broekhoff.

70 years on things have changed in the Rural Transport Sector, with bigger and better trucks for livestock cartage, computerized Fertilizer Spreaders with GPS for proof of placement for farmers and Spreadmark certified spreader bins, for accurate spreading of fertilizer.
