Hine Kawakawa Tapui Ltd is a small Māori-owned business operating from Wainuiomata, Lower Hutt, New Zealand. We specialise in Kawakawa products for everyday use and are very proud to have our luxurious skin cream available for sale.
At Hine Kawakawa, we hold Rongoā Māori principles at the heart of everything we do. We follow the maramataka (Māori calendar) for planting and harvesting of our kawakawa. We also practise the teachings of our ancestors throughout the entire production process, by 'giving thanks' for the use of our taonga (treasure) kawakawa.
Kawakawa, more commonly known as the Pepper tree, has been used by Māori for medicinal purposes. Known as the 'pharmacy of the forest' Kawakawa aids many ailments as a drink/juice, tea, poultice or cream. These include (but not limited to):

>Age spots / wrinkles (slows the natural aging process)
