Heiden Kahira Bedwell-Curtis 2.89

Professional Rugby player for the BNZ Crusaders and Higgins Manawatu Turbos. I am a loose forward that can play 6,7 and 8. I started playing rugby when I was age 5, for Toko which is a small club in the eastern district of Stratford. I grow up in a small rural town of Whangamomona where my parents farmed a family sheep and beef station. From playing for Toko I had 1 year at the Stratford club which I played my last year in primary school before heading off to New Plymouth Boys High School where I spent 5 years as a boarder. I played for the 1st xv for 3 years. After leaving school I became a builder gaining my qualification with Cavalier Homes Taranaki while playing my club Inglewood. In 2011 I made the New Zealand under 20s which won the world cup in Italy. 2012 I made the Taranaki ITM cup team. Then 2013 got signed by Manawatu Turbos and have been playing here for the past 4 seasons, along with my senior A club Fielding Yellows. 2017 is my first year of Super rugby, playing for the BNZ Crusaders. It has been a great journey for my partner and family thus far. May it continue for many years to come.
