Harcourts Waterfront Festival 3.2

Mangonui's annual Harcourts Waterfront Festival is a last farewell to summer, the last chance to enjoy a long afternoon and evening before the end of daylight saving.

This year it’s a week of Waterfront activity starting with the Harcourts Waterfront Festival on Saturday 1st April and finishing with the Ramada Resort Taipa NZ Offshore Powerboats on Saturday 8th April.

The festival is a celebration of all things Far North, from wine and food to music and art with stalls stretching from just north of the Old Oak Boutique Hotel all the way through to the famous wharf. For the more active, there is the chance to flex some muscles in tug-o-war and tennis - while on the water there is the paddle board relay racing.

100+ stalls - variety of food, wine, art and activities, 5 bands on the main stage, 5 groups performing in the Pohutakawa chill out zone as well as dancers, Children's Entertainment, Butler Point Whaling Museum and 1840s house & garden tours and much, much more…………….

The Ramada Resort Taipa NZ Powerboats will see fleets of multi and mono hull, large and small boats thunder across the water at speeds of up to 200km/h in this spine-tingling ultimate “motorsport on the water”.

Boats are on display pre-and post-race giving you a chance to be up close, take a photo or two, and chat with the competitors. Race day action is a family friendly day with activities for everyone and is aimed at making sure a fun time is had by all.
