Gary Douglas Engineers is a family run business, established in 1972. We started off building concrete batching plants and quarry plants, branching out to structural steel for commercial buildings and general engineering. Later, we began to branch out into transport engineering, and this is now our core business.

40 years and three extensions later, the current workshop size is 2000 square meters. We currently have 22 workshop staff, some of whom have been with us for 20 years. Many of our staff are fully qualified tradesmen, both fitters and turners and fitter welders.

We have our own design team and our own
NZ Land Transport Agency approved Heavy Vehicle certifying engineer.

The workshop is fully outfitted with all the standard equipment, any specialised equipment necessary is readily accessible from our partners in Palmerston North.
