Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery opened to the public in Janurary 2007, Over the years, the Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery in Christchurch has presented many successful exhibitions, such as the "Press Flower", "Embroidery Art" by Yao Hong Ying,"In the Forest – A Conversation with Light" exhibition by Coral Harnett,"Pioneers of Stitch" Embroidery Exhibition from the Association of New Zealand Embroiders’ Guild Inc, "Hands in Clay" from famous Christchurch pottery artists, "Nature and Life" Floral exhibition by the Ikebana association, "Nunataks" by Simon Jones Studio Furniture Exhibition.
The Gallery was closed in September 2012 for earthquake repairs and was finally re-opened in August 2016. Our Goal is continue serving the community, promoting local arts and supporting local artists.
