WINDSURFING - STAND UP PADDLEBOARDING - SAILING

Come get on the water with Flying Forwards, brought to you in association by NZ Sailing (nzsailing.net).

Whatever age, whatever level we can always teach you!

Head instructor, Georgia Schofield, has been windsurfing for 10 years and teaching for 5. She has represented New Zealand on the Olympic class board - the RS:X - many times overseas and was top ten youth in the world, two years in a row. She now can be found playing in the waves and enjoying the more fun side of sailing.

Windsurfing - We have the facilities to teach beginners from 1 on 1 to groups of 10 in most weather conditions. Operating out of Big Manly Beach it is a very safe bay but can also get good chop in a northerly breeze for those who want to learn to go fast and jump.
Our pro gear ranges from 84L-136L boards (free wave and slalom) and 4.5m-6.5m sails to enjoy all the conditions on offer.

SUP - The craze sweeping the nation, if you're sick of dragging the old kayak down the beach or can't quite surf as well as you used to then paddle boarding could be the perfect option! From dropping in at Jaws to paddling across oceans, stand-up paddle boarding can be taken to the extreme, but it's also very accessible for anyone of any age to learn! Bring down the kids and the dog, we can fit you all on one board (or one each if preferred) and get you paddling in a matter of minutes. We've got up to 10 learner boards available to use. For those wanting a bit more action we can also organise surfing lessons at Orewa with a quiver of boards from 8'1" to 11'8", we can get you going on any wave.

Sailing - In association with Manly Sailing Club (manlysailingclub.org.nz) we also offer sailing lessons, if you've never tried it before we recommend Learn To Sail Level 1, for those 2nd-timers there's also Learn To Sail Level 2, then for sailors who would like to extend their skills or maybe learn to race we'll be running a weekly junior sailing program. Please see the club's website for more details.
