The Fitzroy Cricket Club is situated in the eastern suburbs of New Plymouth and has been in the community for over 50 years. We host two age group representative teams, four senior teams and provide facilities for three local schools. We provide services for both competitive and recreational cricket.

Fitzroy Cricket Club is located on Peringa Park at 111 Clemow Road. The club rooms are situated in the eastern corner of the park and command views across the Waiwhakaiho River valley, Fitzroy Golf Course, Te Rewa Rewa bridge and out to the Tasman Sea. Adjacent to the club rooms is a large amenities facility. On the northern boundary we have a scoring pavilion which services the main grass pitch.

The club has two practice nets directly in front of the club rooms. They have had recent refurbishment work done which includes additional artificial turf and new netting.

The club has two pitches. One is an artificial and the other is a well maintained grass block with four playing strips. The grass block is the club’s pride and joy and is the envy of many other clubs in the district. It is also frequently used for age group representative cricket.

Due to the recent growth of the club we also utilise the artificial wicket at Sacred Heart Girls’ College, who in turn use our grass wicket for key fixtures.
