The Faculty of Science at The University of Auckland is the largest and most highly ranked science faculty in New Zealand. More than 7,000 students study in our 10 schools and departments, learning from internationally-renowned lecturers.

We offer a wide variety of degrees and subjects including the Bachelor of Science (available with 27 different majors) and the Bachelor of Technology (4 different specialisations are available), as well as a broad array of tuition-based and research-based postgraduate programmes.

Internationally our faculty is ranked within the top 50 (out of approximately 7,000 universities world-wide) in the fields of life sciences, top 60 in the field of computer and information sciences and top 70 in the ‘natural sciences’.
