The Colossseum is situated five minutes from Gisborne city, surrounded by vineyards and horticulture farms. We have a fantastic outdoor garden area and covered, heated outdoor seating. The large open planned lawn is backed by grape vines and the Waipoa River.

Mark Gardner creates unique menus using the finest natural ingredients sourced from local suppliers and neighboring farms. Fusing Mediterranean styled cuisine with kiwi creativity.

We specialise in Functions & Events, Birthday parties, private functions, work parties, weddings & conferences. We will open any day or time for your special event and can personalise the venue to your needs.

We can cater for over 100 guests in our spacious open dining room and for 200plus in a function marquee.
There is a raised stage at the end of the building ideal for presentations, displays, DJ’s and bridal tables.

We offer a large full bar featuring great local wine, beer & cider. There is a separate buffet / serving room creating extra space and flow for large groups to enjoy buffet style service.

We can customize our menus to suit almost all budgets and needs.
