How true this is that we do instinctively rub that sore spot i.e. the bang on the elbow, the bump on the head or that aching joint.
There is a power in touch. In intimacy it can be sensual. A parents touch reassuring and comforting and among friends affectionate and welcoming. But the power of touch does not stop there, as a regular recipient of massage will tell you of the healing benefits of this particular form of touch.
For me my preferred option of pain relief of muscle tension is always Therapeutic Massage. Because I can benefit so much from this form of touch, a desire to encourage and help others to use this natural method of pain relief , has developed.
Having gained my Certificate in Therapeutic Massage (Attained at the 'Wellington School Of Massage Therapy' with tutor Richard Rust) has confirmed for me, that regular massage will not only relieve the discomfort of muscle tension but can help prevent it recurring to levels of concern.
If I can make a considerable difference to regular folk with general aches and pains or recovering from injury, send them home smiling and feeling markably better than when they arrived....Then that will always make me smile too.
