ANCOP is an acronym for: ANswering the Cry Of the Poor. Its mission is to BUILD THE CHURCH OF THE POOR.

ANCOP-NZ is the Social Ministry of the Couples for Christ. Its projects and programs are aimed to pursue its work with and for the poor. From love of God to love of neighbour (Matthew 22:37-40), CFC aims to heed the cry of the poor through ANCOP so that there will be no one in need (Acts 4).

In New Zealand, ANCOP is a legal entity in New Zealand duly registered with the Societies and Trusts and the Charities Commission. There are 7 members of the Board of Trustees: Angie Castro (Executive Director), Bong Sirilan, Alvin Sirilan, Jonathan Taghoy, Jonathan Rickard, Ysabel Elepano (Y-ANCOP) and Jaymard Colmenar (Y-ANCOP).

In 2009, ANCOP created the Youth-ANCOP to increase social awareness in the youths and instill in them the importance of evangelising through Faith in Action. Through the years, they have successfully held different fund-raising activities to support ANCOP’s projects. They have likewise participated in ANCOP immersion programs in the Philippines.

We have Shelter Programs and Disaster Relief Programs where we provide help to families affected by the devastating effects of natural disasters.

The main program of ANCOP NZ is the Child Sponsorship Program. CSP supports the education of children in need in communities throughout the Philippines. The end result of CSP is the Transformation of two communities- the Giver and the Receiver, the Donor and the Child and Family.

We are constantly in need of volunteers, sponsors and donors. The work is huge and the need is great. For ANCOP volunteers please contact Angie Castro or Ysabel Elepano through ancopnzcharity@gmail.com or send a message to this account or to Youth ANCOP Facebook account.
