Alvarados Mexican Cantina 5

For nearly thirty years there had been a Mexican restaurant on the corner of Manchester St and Worcester St in central Christchurch, then on September 4th 2010, the building that had been the home of Mexican cuisine in Christchurch for such a long time, was destroyed by the first in a series of devastating earthquakes. Alvarados became the 'poster child ' of the September quake and images of it's destruction were beamed around the world. We had to wait for eleven months for the donkey to arrive with the supplies but we are back in business and looking forward to seeing all our wonderful customers.
