About Us
A Tranquil Place is located on the Te Wahapu peninsula, just outside historic Russell. The house is tucked into native bush, built over different levels, offers bay and bush views and is surrounded by tropical vegetation. It is the ideal place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, in a natural and tranquil environment, giving you a feeling of being disconnected from the rest of the world; yet providing you with all the comfort for an enjoyable stay. Enjoy all day sun and get inspired by the night sky. A foot path next to the property leads to a secluded beach. Complimentary off-street parking Due to the location: no smoking on the property.

Accommodation
Our guest room includes bush surrounds and bay views. Accommodation is attached to the main house, with a private entrance and en suite bathroom. Two options are available – either B&B style or self-contained with access to separate kitchen. Suitable for couples or singles. Minimum two night stay.

Whether you are seeking a quiet escape or a high sea adventure, Russell will provide for all. Formally known as the “Hell-hole of the Pacific” it is now a lovely seaside town full of boutique shops, fine restaurants, and history.
