Veem House for Performance 4.61

In 2017 Veem House for Performance decided to transform to the ‘100 Day House’. 100 Days this is a house at work. 100 Days this house is filled with voices; old and new, young and established, coming from the arts and beyond, coming from Amsterdam and abroad. 100 Days this house is welcoming artists to work and present, welcoming spectators to meet and discuss. Exploring what performance can and should be in movement, time, and discourse; questioning what we take as given, performing new proposals for ways of looking, and taking us on journeys to unknown worlds. 100 Days a place for art, politics, ideas and people to meet.

Performances
We do this with presenting and producing performances; radical, daring, and experimental work.

Discourse
We do this in discourse by organising book launches, hosting symposia, publishing ‘words for the future’, making podcasts and hosting House Events.

Interaction
We do this in interaction with our neighbours and our partners in the city and the international arts field by hosting Veem Housedinners, with welcoming you to audience platform Les Spectateurs and by inviting artists who unfold the neighbourhood.

At Work
We do this by collectivly being at work, with organising weekly Chi Kung and Yoga classes for everyone accesisble and hosting several series of Reading & Research groups on theoretical and inspirational sources.

We do this with you – the audience, artists, and all curious minds out there. The doors are open from the 22nd on for 100 Days! Be welcome.
