Truyts Import® BV has started as a one-man business of Theo Truyts in 2004. Former owner of a beach restaurant called Down Under in Scheveningen, always busy cooking and running a business, Theo Truyts carefully began importing melamine tableware. Because of his experience in the catering/restaurant industry, he knew exactly what people in the industry were seeking. With a crate full of samples he went to his first customers. These careful steps have led to the great company it is today, with over 200 own moulds and designs and already three buildings in Gouda, the Netherlands. Truyts Import® BV sells to the master wholesale companies and exports to a lot of countries such as: Germany, Spain, Belgium, France and many more countries outside Europe.

Because of his experience in cooking and running businesses, travelling through the continents and his enormous energy in several years with his motto: Never give up, Truyts Import® BV has grown to become the company it is today, having won many awards and industry recognition for its innovation and design.

The demand for his products is huge and grows every day. New items are being designed constantly and every new item is a success. Many people have found their way to the melamine products of Truyts Import® BV.

Today, cooking is still Theo's greatest passion you can see in the picture's gallery, some of Truyts Dutch Design tableware products complemented with Theo's own dishes.

A lot has happened in over 10 years, but his passion and enthusiasm for design and cooking has remained his clear focus.
