The Vanguard is hidden in the vibrant heart of the city. You won't find any place where you are better connected with the canals. Situated at the corner of the illustrious Herengracht and Reguliersgracht and just a few meters away from the Rembrandtsquare, the house is pioneering at the boundaries of a canal boutique B&B.

Our 17th century merchant’s house is fully restored to its original grandeur. We offer a fresh take on the design of the traditional canal house. Our rooms are residential in feel. Both are appointed with hand-selected furnishings and original African artwork. The two boutique bedrooms are situated at the 2nd floor and at the top floor of the house.

The house looks out over the famous and buzzling Rembrandtsquare. But situated on the quiet side of the canal you should not feel obliged to join Amsterdam nightlife. Around the corner in the Utrechtsestraat Amsterdam's most culinary hotspots are situated. The city's cultural highlights are all within a 10-minute walk.
