LANKAN AFFAIRS

-THE GLOBAL ASSOCIATION OF SRI LANKAN ADOPTEES-

LANKAN AFFAIRS is the international organisation representing the interests of adoptees from Sri Lanka worldwide. LANKAN AFFAIRS is in close contact with the Sri Lankan government. LANKAN AFFAIRS has a large network and has close contacts with the president’s and prime minister’s office, but also with various ministers. LANKAN AFFAIRS therefore has the ability to offer a wide range of services.

LANKAN AFFAIRS will be committed amongst others to the following services:

MEETINGPLACE - Creating a meeting place for adoptees.

ROOTS SEARCH - Finding family in a transparent and careful manner.

TRANSLATION SERVICE - Translation service by a certified Sri Lankan translator.

BUSINESS INTERMEDIARY - Mediating between adoptees and the Sri Lankan business community.

LANKAN AFFAIRS has a large network of adoptees worldwide and has contacts in various countries for the establishment of future sister organisations. All of these organisations will be at the responsibility of the board of LANKAN AFFAIRS. LANKAN AFFAIRS has both a head office in the Netherlands and in Sri Lanka.

Also LANKAN AFFAIRS will support NONA Foundation in their work in Sri Lanka. NONA Foundation is a small independent non-profit organisation of volunteers that is mainly dedicated to girls and women who are victims of sexual violence, human trafficking and child prostitution in Sri Lanka.

NONA Foundation was founded in 2005 and has given the opportunity to over 1300 girls and women to build on a promising, meaningful and dignified existence. For more information please check the website http://www.nonafoundation.com/
