For the first time since its inception in 1998, the International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS) will host an international student conference in Latin America: the IAPSS Conference in Latin America (ICLA).

Focussing on "Contemporary Challenges in Latin America", the University of San Francisco de Quito - beautifully located in the Tumbaco Valley in Ecuador’s capital Quito - will serve as the venue for ICLA 2015 from November 18 - 21, 2015. During a 4-day program filled with plenary sessions, student panels, expert sessions and documentary screenings, students will be submerged into the contemporary challenges in Latin America of today.

As every IAPSS conference, ICLA 2015 aims at fostering and empowering students of political science, international relations and related studies. About 50% of all sessions will therefore be reserved for students panels - providing space and time to present, review and discuss the research and work-in-progress of young political scientists at all stages (B.A., M.A., PhD et al.)! Interested students are encouraged to submit abstracts. Stay tuned for the release of the Call for Papers in July 2015!

The working languages of ICLA 2015 will both English and Spanish, with simultaneous translation provided for plenary sessions.
